  1. About bloody time someone took a stab at the history of Denmark. Good on you Soren, I look forward to following along. Huge fan of David Crowther, Mike Duncan and some of the other podcast greats and I think you have started out well, following in their footsteps style wise.

    1. I’m glad you like it! I hope Denmark will play some part in a future podcast of yours (Great Northern War, perhaps?). -Søren

  2. Hi Søren, I just started listening to your podcast today and I have to say I’m really impressed! I’m very interested in Denmark because my maternal grandmother was born in a small town called Hjorthede in 1897 (her family surname was Nielsen, a good Danish name) so I’m proudly 1/4 Danish.
    Keep up the good work!
And by the way, I know English isn’t your first language but you speak it perfectly 🙂

    1. Hello Cindy!

Very interesting! I will be sure to cover Danish migration to the United States when I reach the 1800’s. Thank you for the kind words.

    1. Hello Lucy! I’m very glad you like it. As I mention at the beginning of episode 11, my schoolwork is holding me back from making episodes at the rate I would like to, but once I get Easter vacation in two weeks I will have some more time on my hands. 🙂

  3. Soren, I have really appreciated your podcast. My Muttie and I are traveling to Denmark, Norway and Sweden this month and your podcast has been a great way to get caught up in Danish history. I just wish you could make a podcast each day! Danke!

  4. Hello Melinda

Thank you very much for the kind words – they mean a lot to me. Be sure to visit Jelling and see the museum and all the other cool things there! Enjoy your travels in Denmark and Scandinavia!

    Kind regards
